Many bloggers are faced with this question during their blogging career. The answer is simple really :
Login at Blogger.com and click on Settings link on Dashboard. The default Basic Settings page will open. Scroll down to the bottom of that page and you will see the black Delete button hidden in the bottom right corner. Clicking the Delete button is very easy but :
If you click the DELETE button :
1. Your Blog will still be seen on the Internet ( if it was a public blog ) until the contents disappear from Google Cache.
2. You will not be able to enter the blog to edit or delete specific content from the posts as it will disappear from your Dashboard.
3. Spammers may hijack your blog URL for it's Page Rank value and even fill it with porn or spam.
4. If you want to reuse your old URL you may not be able to.
5. You will not be able to delete posts after you delete blog.
To Delete Blog :
1. DELETE PROFILE INFORMATION : Login to Blogger.com and click on Edit Profile link on Dashboard. Delete all your information in the Profile and save Profile.
2. DELETE POSTS : Click on Posts link on Dashboard to open list of posts. Click on Delete link next to each post title.
3. LEAVE BLOG AS IS : This will enable you to keep your control on it. You will still be able to edit it.

Blogs do not have password. Your blogger account has password which you use to login at Blogger.com.
Once you login you can create as many blogs as you like.
If you delete a blog you cannot regain the URL or link of the blog. You can use the same name or title for a new blog.
After you delete a blog you may recover it by asking special favors from Blogger Team but the process is lengthy. So do not delete blog.
Why do you want to delete it anyway?
i don't have any Settings link on my Blogger dashboard, or I am blind and don't see it :) Is that possible? How can I completely delete/cancel blog then? I really want to cancel it

It is possible you are a member of a team blog. Then you do not have administrator rights.
Go to Settings---->Permissions if you do not wish to see that blog on your Dashboard.

Depending on the backlinks your blog received from other sites it may take anywhere from 3 to 6 months for content to disappear from Google cache.
You can make new blog with same name but not with same URL!
I changed my blog url more than 6 months ago. But the old blog url are still showing on the net after 6 months. I really need to delete completely from the net.

Thank you for the help, but I wish I would have read it before I deleted the account and now the damn thing is still online, but anyway, I'll wait till it disappears from Google cache...

Contact Yahoo and try to recover your account. Without the account you have no access to blog and hence cannot delete it.
Why is my deleted blogs still appearing in my dashboard? Then it makes it as if i have few blogs instead of one :(

It is latest update by Blogger. Deleted blogs will be shown on Dashboard so you can Undelete it whenever you want.
Click Show All link at bottom of Dashboard to see all blogs.
I'm thinking of setting up a blog purely for my own private use as a daily notebook for a project. I'd want to be able to delete it afterwards and have total privacy whilst it was in use. It would be important that I could use names etc without search engines ever picking them up.
Would Blogger be able to give me this total privacy and option to delete?

BEFORE publishing your first post on the blog make it private by changing the settings.
Do not include email in profile and click Edit Profile on Dashboard and change setting to share profile.
Delete option is available for all blogs.
I have a blog that i cannot gain access to. when i enter what was my email address, next window says that it has sent directions to restore my access to an email account that does not exist because the domain for the email has a typo in it... it's supposed to be a '.edu' email, and blogger is sending the recovery directions to '.eduu' (with the letter "u" repeated). i don't see how i'm going to gain access because the help menus send me in a loop.

Umm, how can I change my email address on blogger? I've changed it, but I don't know how to change my email the one that I use for logging in. Beside the column that I used to change my email adress says "Changing this does not change the e-mail address you use to sign-in". How can I change the email adress that I use to sign-in? :\
