TEMPLATE OR LAYOUT
How do you determine whether your blog has the Classic HTML template? Your blog has the Classic Template if :
1. After login at Blogger.com you see the word 'Template' on the Dashboard instead of the word 'Layout'.
2. On the Edit Html subtab of Template tab there is a "Change the Blogger Navbar" Option.
3. On the Edit Html subtab of Template tab there is no "Download Full Template" link. Also buttons to Browse and Upload New Template are missing.
4. The Template tab does not have a 'Page Elements' and 'Fonts and Colours' subtabs.
5. The Template tab has an "Adsense" and a "Customize Design" subtab.
6. There is no "Revert to Classic Template" link at the bottom of the Template box on the Edit Html subtab of Template tab.
USING CLASSIC TEMPLATES
Do not try to copy and paste a Classic HTML template into the new Layout template as they are incompatible. You will get this error :
"Your template could not be parsed as it is not well-formed. Please make sure all XML elements are closed properly.
XML error message: The content of elements must consist of well-formed character data or markup."
PREVIEW BEFORE SAVING TEMPLATE
When pasting code into the new Blogger Layout Template click the Preview button first so that you can examine the modified code for any errors should they crop up.

i revert my template to classic, then i cant go back!:( and now, my template still in classic (only save template changes, preview, and clear edits). Please help me to get my template back!:(
Btw,can i use template from finalsense.com ?

What is the address of the blog? Can you give the link of the page where you got the template?

Also blogskins.com has many templates. Exactly which template are you using? Give the link of the template page.
i paste the template and just click save the template and it worked out!!! it just didnt work out when i preview it and i didnt know till today=x. so sorry to trouble you and i really didnt have the intention to waste your time as i really didnt know it only didnt worked out for the preview. THANKS A LOT for your help and i will still need ur guidance in blogger stuff in the near future. thanks again!

Hi - I'm reading through hoping to get some help. I had a customized blog layout that I spent hours working on. Now it's gone because I accidentally clicked on the "classic layout" button in the html section. How can I go back to my custom layout? Please tell me it's possible and I don't have to start from scratch? THANKS. - Keeley

At the moment your blog does not have a Classic template. If you had backed up your layout before you can load it now.
Otherwise you will have to customize it all over again.
