How to Add a Paypal Donation Button?

PayPal.com is the international service used for money transfer. The service allows anyone to pay in any way they prefer. You may have seen the Donate buttons from Paypal on many blogs. These allow your blog visitors to express their satisfaction about your blog in a monetary way.

Here is how to add a paypal donate button to your blog :

1. Log in to your PayPal account.

2. Click Merchant Services.

3. Click Donations.

4. Complete the form with the details of your item and select the Donation button you wish to use. For assistance with this process, click More Resources in the upper right corner of this page.

5. In the Currency drop down box, select the type of currency you would like to receive your payments in.

6. If you need to specify additional details, click Add More Options and fill out the appropriate fields, otherwise click Create Button Now.

7. If you selected Add More Options, click Create Button Now.

8. Copy the HTML code into a text file in Notepad and save it. Click Done if you are finished creating buttons, or click on Create Another Button if you want to make additional buttons.

9. Login at Blogger.com.

10. Click on Layout link on Dashboard.

11. Click the Add page Element link in sidebar on the Page Elements subtab of Template tab.

12. Choose the Html/Javascript option in the popup window.

13. Paste the code from Paypal under the Contents window. Save.

14. Clear Cache and view Blog.

why do I get an error url message when using open ID? how did you do it?

Vin said...

Monaco,

You can implement the translate widget to other languages if Google Translate supports those languages.

To implement OpenID see :

Jeisea,

I notice that at the end of your post you have pasted the URLs of five blogs but not their links!

Will I have to do the same? Because in your meme rules you say that you have to "Tag 6 people at the end of your post by links to their blogs".

Also does it have to be six or can be any number?

Hi Vin
Sorry I'm so long getting back to you. I should have put links in the meme challenge. Actually it would have been wise to link to the names of the others but I've had a few hassles trying to embed links with the name. Still so much to learn. Six is the number the ones before me have posted but I can't see why you should stick with this number.

Thanks again for your help.

hi vin , you place amazon ad at your blog, can you tell me how to do that?

right now i am very desperate about my blog

http://dvdbuyer.blogspot.com/

i have 400 people saw my blog, but nobody click the adsense :( , do you have any tips?

thanks

Vin said...

me,

You have to register as an Associate at Amazon site. Then you can get the Ad. code to paste in Html gadgets in your blog.

It is against the TOS to ask people to click Adsense Ads. You have to Optimize blog for Search Engines so that they deliver Ads. which are closely matched to your content. Then only people will click on them.

Sarah au Togo said...

where should I paste the link from paypal into the "edit template" window? after which code exactly?
thanks

Vin said...

Sarah au Togo,

Blogger has replaced the "Add Page Element" link on Layout---->Page Elements tab with the "Add Gadget" link.

Click 'Add Gadget' link and in popup window scroll down and click Html gadget. Paste the code under Contents.

What are tax ramifications of money received via PayPal? Do you report it as ordinary income, or what?

Vin said...

homegrown colorado girl,

Depends on what services you received it for and what category you are going to declare it under?
