A reader wanted me to correct the way text was displayed on his blog. When I clicked on his blog link I could not see anything amiss. Ultimately I was forced to ask him to send me a screenshot of his blog via email.
A screenshot is a picture of what the screen is displaying on your computer. It is not necessary to get out your camera and take a photo of the screen. There are a number of software programs which can take such a picture but here is the way you can do it free without any software except what is aready on your PC.
First arrange your screen windows to show whatever you want to take a picture of. If you want to take a picture of your blog load it in a browser. Now comes the most important step :
PRESS THE "PrtScr" (PRINT SCREEN) KEY ON KEYBOARD.
This is the key on the topmost row of the keyboard next to the "F12" key. Then go to Start Button------>All Programs------>Accessories------>Paint. The Paint program will open. Click Edit----->Paste in menu of Paint program. Your whole screen will appear as a picture in Paint. Now you can save the file as a JPG file. If you want to resize the image click on Image----->Attribtes. A dialogue box will open showing the width and height of the image. Type in a new width and height and OK it. The image will be resized to new dimensions.
You can now send the file as an email attachment. You can even upload the picture to your blog.
If you do not wish to send the image upload the screenshot to Googlepages and copy it's link and send it to your blog designer.

Thanks for this tip. I have a nice mug I created as blog merchandise on an external shop and now I can grab it and add it to my blog. Thanks
You should maybe mention that holding ALT when pressing Print makes a screenshot of only the opened window, and not of the taskbar and all that.
Do you know how to do this for MAC'S?
I also I want to promote my page.
but I'm not even sure what to do!
HELP please =)
chatty cathy & betty blogger,
In Macs use Command-Shift-3 to take a screenshot of the screen, and save it as a file on the desktop.
You can promote your page using attractive content or by using external content to advertise your blog.
Thank You that is incredibly informative information!
