Blogging activities mainly consist of creating and publishing posts once you have set all the settings for your blog. Sometimes it may be that you have large amount of content in Microsoft Word documents which you wish to transfer to your blog.
The easiest method would be to select all the text in the document and copy it and paste in Compose tab of Post Editor. Now when you click the Publish button you will get this error :
ERROR
Your HTML cannot be accepted: Tag is not allowed:
<meta equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=utf-8">

The arrow points to that tag in the post which you can see after clicking the Edit Html tab in the upper right corner. Now if you try to delete it and click Publish you will get another error :
ERROR
Your HTML cannot be accepted: Tag is not allowed:
<meta name="ProgId" content="Word.Document">
Delete this tag and click Publish to get yet another error :
ERROR
Your HTML cannot be accepted: Tag is not allowed:
<meta name="Generator" content="Microsoft Word 12">
Delete this and click Publish to get yet another error :
ERROR
Your HTML cannot be accepted: Tag is not allowed:
<meta name="Originator" content="Microsoft Word 12">
This will continue as Microsoft Word uses these tags which are incompatible with the Blogger Post Editor. The only way to get rid of these warnings is to first copy and paste from Word to Notepad or to any other text editor. Then copy and paste from there to Blogger Post Editor.
Then format the post.
Then click Publish.
Enjoy!

You can directly paste the text copied from Word into the edit HTML box. That will remove all the formatting.
Then format it.
I was having difficulty with posting to my blog. I kept getting an html error. Your advice was very helpful. Thank you, thank you, thank you....
I never had error code problems with pasting from Word to Blogger. My errors come in when I fiddle around in the HTML and accidentally delete some symbol or the other...(or add one too many). Very informative...Sweet Little Angel (Penny)
Penny Manning,
The errors appear when you paste from Word into Compose tab of Post editor which I think is used by majority of Bloggers.
All I had to do (I only figured it out after attempting to correct or try a bunch of other suggestions)- was to click on 'don't showe me this again and then press publish. It worked!
Ms. Lucy,
Use this option with caution. The Word tags are retained in the post and can make your blog links turn into different colors.
Hi doctor blog

aaa.
Submit your blog to Search Engines. Then
Optimize Blog for Search Engines.
I find the problem only happens when I paste from Word to Blogger in Compose Mode if I am using Firefox as my browser.
When I use Explorer only the text any html tags or urls I have placed in my document from Word come over - no extras.
The trick is to ensure the document in your Word file is completely left justified or centered. If if it fully justified in Word it will bunch up, you will lose line breaks, etc.
My blog has lengthy academic articles in the posts that my husband, who has dyslexia, writes. It is much easier for me to edit them in Word than within Blogger. Any deep links he wants to refer to in his text can be added in word with target = 0 set up as default and when I paste them over, using Explorer to open Blogger, it all comes accross perfectly. I can then fully justify and check I didn't forget to close any tags when I was formatting it in Word and all is sweet!
If I use Firefox it is a disaster. Extra data everywhere, html errrors when you try to post....
So, if you want to post from Word to Blogger and not lose all your formatting (you'll still need to add bold, italics and blockquote - though you can just put the tags in in word) use Explorer.
